Global SU Share Fair CASE the January 2021 Tutorial

We have an awesome group of demonstrators sharing our talents in our private Facebook group called the Global SU Share Fair. We broadcast about every other month with videos available on replay if you miss the live days.

You may be arriving to my blog from Krissi Hannahs awesome project. Welcome and thank you for popping in to see what I've created using the card Terri Stewart showed us in January 2021. It's a fun and easy fancy fold card. All the directions are in our January Tutorial, more information on that later.

Here is a picture of Terri's card and the one I made CASEing her tutorial.

I used the beautiful Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper with Blackberry Bliss and Basic White cardstock. Everything is cut, scored and ready to assemble.

DSP adhered to the Basic White cardstock and then adhered to the cardbase. This is a super easy card to create.

The only stamping is on the bottom half of the focal piece, with a piece of the dsp glued above it. The change I made is instead of cutting out three flowers, I cut out one owl and adhered with dimensionals to the focal piece. I hope you will give this a try! Remember, all of the dimensions and directions are in the January 2021 GSUSF Tutorial.

Thank you for visiting; I hope you enjoyed the card I CASEd (copy and share everything) from Terri Stewart.
Next stop on the hop is Annette McMillan, I know you will enjoy her project.

Stamping With Friends Fall 2021 Blog Hop

Fall - sunny days, cooler temperatures, leaves changing colors, wind blowing these beautiful leaves in swirls until they land on the ground and pile up. Plus, squirrels preparing for winter by running up and down trees and around the yard driving my dogs crazy! What do you think of when fall arrives?

Thank you for stopping by as part of our Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. I hope you will enjoy the variety of projects we have to inspire you. You may have hopped here from Karen’s blog, wasn't her project lovely! Where ever you began, the full link of blogs on this hop are at the end of my post.

Before I begin, I like to assemble my supplies and see where they will take me.

My card features the colors that make me think of fall, Cajun Craze, Cinnamon Cider, and Early Espresso. The squirrels are part of the stamp set Nuts About Squirrels in the June - December 2021 Mini Catalog. I stamped one in Cajun Craze and the other in Cinnamon Cider with the acorn in second and third generation stamping in Early Espresso. I thought they needed a little bling so colored their fur with Wink of Stella and used Shimmery Crystal Effects to add sparkle and dimension to the acorn.

After fussy cutting the squirrels I prepared the background. First I cut two scalloped circles out of the Cork Specialty Paper and a smaller circle white cardstock. I stamped branches and leaves and mounted the squirrels using dimensionals.
With the stamping completed and the focal points prepped I adhered a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series paper onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock, 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". I wanted to add some ribbon and thought it would look nice on the diagonal. Since the Diamond Weave Ribbon is thicker, I laid a piece across the front and adhered it with Stamp 'n Seal on the back. This was adhered to the Cajun Craze cardbase.

I pulled the sentiment from the stamp set Lighthearted Lines. Some demonstrators may have cut the stamp, but I preferred to stamp in Early Espresso Ink onto Basic White cardstock and then cut the Friends Forever off. I glued this to a scrap of Cork and trimmed. (Always keep scraps, they come in handy!) The rest of the sentiment is on the inside of the card.

The strips on the side are pieces cut from the designer series paper used on the front of the card, again I used scraps.

I hope you give this pretty fall card a try! Your next stop on the blog hop is Caron Bailey, just click the Next Stop picture.
