Beautiful Bouquet Encouragement Card

Click link for card recipe: Beautiful Bouquet Encouragement Card: An elegant and simple card to send a special friend needed encouragement.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you are safe and well!

In these unusual and challenging times I find sending a card to encourage a friend also encourages me. We all need connections during this “shelter at home” time. And what better than a little Happy Mail to lift spirits!

This card features the background stamp Breathtaking Bouquet and it lives up to its name. I have embossed with gold embossing powder on Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

The band is cut from the black foil sheet to conserve paper.

A word of caution, you really should move your coffee cup before poking out the bits and pieces from the die cut band into your garbage can.

The sides of the band are wrapped around the embossed layer, adhere the ends to the back of the layer with glue dots.

I used the black dimensionals to adhere this layer to the cardbase.

The inside is stamped with stamps from Positive Thoughts Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape ink, then glued into the inside of the card base.

Stamp the sentiment on a piece of cardstock with Versamark Ink and emboss with gold powder. I then punched it out with the punch and daubed ink around it It is adhered to the black die cut with black dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy making this card. You can get supplies by clicking the Shop Now button or click the supply links on the card recipe.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. Please click the follow me button for updates.

Today I want to share a challenge my friends from our Monday night group enjoyed.

One day not long ago I was teaching a friend how to make a card using the Sail Away suite of products and realized I had a stamp case full of scrap strips. After she left I decided to make some card fronts. I cut strips into smaller strips and adhered them to a whisper white card layer cut to 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”. I wish I’d taken more pictures because it looked pretty funny before I trimmed the excess off. Once I did one, and loved it, I continued until I had quite a pile and no more scrap Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper left!

Not everyone was able to come and bring their card or cards, but here are the ones who came to the next workshop.

They were so excited they’ve asked for more challenges!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your visit. If you are looking for a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator I would be honored if you choose me. You can shop in my store, click the link at the top.

And please, in these difficult times, take care of yourselves and your families.

Peaceful Poppies Thank You

First, I would like to THANK YOU for taking the time to stop by my blog. I’m so pleased you are here and hope you like what you see and click the follow me link.

I had fun making this card with the Peaceful Poppies Suite in the Spring Mini Occasions Catalog. You can look at the catalog by clicking the link to the right. I used many items of the suite so it was well worth the cost. As a matter of fact, when I first saw this suite I knew it was perfect for me! The Designer Series Paper is beautiful and the colors are all ones I am drawn to.

Peaceful Poppies Elements also are part of the suite and these black circles make the perfect contrast to the paper and the sentiment stamped on Whisper White cardstock. You’ll see one envelope I created in the upper left corner (because the pretty shouldn’t stop just at the card!)

Speaking of the sentiment, can you see the lovely detail this die gives to the sentiment?

In our Annual Catalog we’ve got pearlized doilies and they are the perfect backdrop for the black circle.

Once I stamped and assembled, I decided it needed some “bling” so added sequins from the suite and then misted with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% Isopropol Alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer. Can you see the shimmer in the picture?

All items, except the Isopropol Alcohol are available in my store.

FREE ITEMS: We are in the last month of Sale-A-Bration with a free item for every $50 you spend.

Painted Poppy Thank You Card

Click here for the card recipe: Painted Poppy Thank You Card:

Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting my blog. I’ve been a bit busy with my husband’s retirement. After 53 years in the grocery business he is now officially retired! What a change for the man who worked 10 - 12 hours days. Today is his first day of retirement and wouldn’t you know, it rained!

He is very supportive of my Stampin’ Up business and especially appreciates the cards I make - he’s a keeper! He is also encouraging me to make a video, maybe one of these days!

This card uses several items from the Peaceful Poppies Suite. The Thank You sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set; the leaf dies and poppy centers are from the Poppy Moments Dies. These are sold for a 10% discount in a bundle. The flowers are from the Painted Poppies stamp set and the dies for flowers and frame are from Painted Labels Dies, again these are sold for a 10% discount as a bundle. Personally, I like buying the entire suite, this includes the bundle discounts plus so many other items - Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Peaceful Poppies Sequins, Whisper white 1/4” Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, and Peaceful Poppies Elements.

These two photos are of the stamps and dies in the two bundles (both are in the suite.) So much to play with!

If you do not have a Stampi’ Up® demonstrator I would love to send you catalogs. If you would like to purchase any of the products, please visit my shop.

Reminder: Sale A Bration continues through this month. What does this mean for you? FREE, yes FREE stamp sets or paper. For every $50 you will receive a free item.
