Stamping With Friends Sneak Peeks - Jan - April Mini / Sale-a-bration

Thank you for joining us for our Stamping with Friends Blog Hop.  I hope you find ideas and creative inspiration as you visit all of the blogs.

This month we are featuring a Sneak Peak of products in the January - April 2023 Mini Catalog and the January - February 2023 Sale-a-Bration promotion.

I have chosen the Delicate Desert Suite Collection. Since the catalogs are not live I won't be posting links, but will show you a photo of products.

Dry Brushed Metallic 12"x12" Specialty Designer Series Paper

Desert Details Stamp Set, Desert Details Dies, Delicate Desert 12"x12" DSP, Gold Faceted Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and Pale Papaya Faux Velvet Trim.

I used the Metallic DSP, stamp set, dies, ribbon and sequins in my card. This is inspired by my friend Carol Sanderson, I was privileged to attend her team meeting on Zoom (due to weather conditions) and she hosted a mystery stamp along. What fun!

The standard sized card base is Soft Succulent, the next layer is Pale Papaya (4 1/8" x 5 3/8"), and the DSP (4" x 5 1/4") complete the layers on the front of my card. Next I adhered the Pale Papaya on the back of the Pale Papaya and DSP layer, then used dimensionals to adhere to the card base. I do love metallic paper, how about you?

I used one of the border stamps and stamped onto the Pale Papaya Diagonal (2 1/2" x 2 1/2") using Cajun Craze. To adhere it to the card I put dimensionals on each side of the ribbon. The sentiment is stamped with Cajun Craze ink and fussy cut.

I finished up by stamping the flower, cutting it out with the dies, die cutting the leaves (2 sets) out of the metallic DSP and painting the flower with Wink of Stella. A little more bling was added by adhering a few of the new sequins.

I hope you are finding as much inspiration from this blog hop as I am.

It is always difficult to see products I love retire, but I know we'll have equally beautiful Designer Series Paper in the next catalog. I have enjoyed creating with the Splendid Day Suite Collection so decided to use all my strips and pieces to make one last set of thank you cards for my December customers. I love this diagonal strip card partly because it is a great way to use up strips of DSP but also because it looks so unappealing until trimmed., then I am amazed how nice it looks. Here are the pictures of what I mean:

All Strips Attached to a card front.
Card Front from the back.

Trimming has begun!

I experimented with several adhesives: Multipurpose Glue, Stampin’ Seal and Adhesive Sheets. The Adhesive Sheets are the winner for ease of use and minimum adhesive mess.

As a mat layer I used metallic foils  - Rose Gold, a glimmer gold (just enough left for 1 card) and the remainder are either the Matt Gold  or Metallic Gold.

Sentiment layer is Soft Sea Foam with the detailed die cut to match the metallic foil layer. A little ribbon, an inside layer with a strip of the DSP on the side, and a decorated envelope complete these cards.

Rose Gold Layer

Shiny Gold and Matte Gold Layers

I hope you enjoy my card and that you find lots of inspiration on all the blogs in this hop! And remember to use up all your strips, bits, and pieces.
