Stamping with Friends Color Challenge Blog Hop - June 2022

I love a good challenge, how about you? This month’s blog hop theme is just what I needed to get my creativity flowing! The colors in this challenge are Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Mango Melody and Pacific Point; I added Pear Pizzazz.

When I looked at these beautiful colors I thought FLOWERS! Hence the addition of Pear Pizzazz; I truly believe leaves should be green. This card is inspired by Maureen Rauchfuss; Her presentation in a private group inspired me to create a bouquet of flowers using the Sending Smiles Bundle. This includes the Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Sending Dies.

You will find cutting directions below. I began with a strip of Pacific Point cardstock for the first layer with a stamped Tahitian Tide strip on top; I used Tahitian Tide for the flower and Mango Melody for the center. It is fun to make your own background.

Next I adhered the Tahitian Tide strip to the Pacific Point strip and adhered these to my card front using multipurpose glue. I stamped stems and leaves using second generation  inking of Pear Pizzazz on white cardstock then stamped a variety of flowers, also using second generation inking, in Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet and Pacific Point with Mango Melody centers. I adhered this to a layer of Pacific Point and added Tahitian Tide Metallic Open Weave ribbon.

For dimension, I added a stamped and die cut flower to the front. Because this is going over two layers of cardstock I used Stampin' Dimensionals on the top and bottom. My sentiment, “Sending”, is die cut from Tahitian Tide, using both the mat and the detail dies. I used Wink of Stella to highlight the detailed word.

WARNING/REMINDER: When die cutting a word with an ‘i’ in it be sure to keep the dot over the i, but if you forget or it somehow slips off your work space, you can use a rhinestone basic jewel.

I stamped a stem on the envelope and the insert for the inside of the card. Then using Sweet Sorbet I stamped the echinacea with a Mango Melody center. The sentiment is stamped on a basic white scrap in Tahitian Tide and adhered using Stampin' Seal. The insert is then adhered to the inside of the card using Stampin' Seal.

I noticed something was missing and decided it was BLING! I added more Wink of Stella on the flowers and added several Rhinestone Basic Gems.

I used Tahitian Tide scraps for my sentiment and basic white for my flower to die cut and the inside sentiment.

I hope you are feeling inspired! More inspiration awaits as you hop through to the nest blog.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop June 2022 - Sympathy Cards

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. Our theme this month is Sympathy Cards. I don't know about you, but I try to be prepared so I keep a few sympathy cards on hand because when I need one I'm usually in no mood to create. I hope you find inspiration hopping with us!

You’ve just left Terri Stewart’s blog, I always love her cards, don’t you?

My card begins with the Design A Dream Hostess pack of designer series paper. I love this sheet with the light and dark Blackberry Bliss flowers.

Measurements:

I like to begin by assembling my supplies:

I cut the Design A Dream 12" x 12" Host Designer Series Paper into card front size, then cut this into two pieces unequal in size (one is maybe 1/3 the size of the beginning piece). I turned the smaller section over to expose the other side. I mounted them onto a piece of black cardstock using the Metallic Mesh Ribbon to camouflage the join spot of my two pieces of DSP.

I stamped the flowers from Quiet Meadow onto Petal Pink cardstock using Petal Pink Ink. I colored the flowers using Light and Dark Blackberry Bliss on the flowers and Dark Parakeet Party on the leaves. Wink of Stella makes the flowers sparkle (and I do love sparkle!) I used black cardstock to mat this layer and adhered it to the front with dimensionals. I threaded a second piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon under the first piece and tied a knot.

My sentiment is taken from Quiet Meadow, stamped with Memento Black Ink onto Petal Pink cardstock then cut with a layering circle die. I cut another scalloped circle from this set out of black cardstock for a mat.

The card is finished with three Rhinestone Gems in the upper right corner.

The envelope is decorated with DSP and the inside of the card is stamped with a sentiment from Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and has the flowers stamped in second generation Petal Pink Ink.

The next stop on our blog hop is Tracy Held! If you get lost on the way we’ve each posted a full list of the hops.
