Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - World Card Making Day Fun October 2024

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to our World Card Making Day Blog Hop!

But first, let me apologize for the past year when I haven't blogged at all. I was concentrating on my Facebook business page and didn't make room in my schedule to blog. While I may not blog weekly, I'm back and plan on blogging this year.

World Card Making Day is a fun day to begin again! We are a group of card makers from around the world and hope you find inspiration from our creations.

My project is actually the March 2024 Paper Pumpkin. This is a subscription through Stampin' Up!® with everything you need to make the cards or project in the box except a block which subscribers receive in their first PP (Paper Pumpkin) box.

I needed a quick project to take to a friend's house, we meet once a month to work on crafts and bring whatever we are working on cards, knitting, crochet, needlework, hand quilting...my group of friends have many interests!

I grabbed my kit knowing I would make the first 3 cards according to the directions provided in the kit.

The card designs are cute and I enjoyed creating them, but this cardstock is so beautiful I wanted to see how I could use it to make more cards. I pulled in Thick Basic White cardstock, Gorgeous Grape ink pad, Wink of Stella (what project is complete without Wink of Stella?), embellishments and then went to Rachel Tessman's video to see what she created with this kit. Wow - she got almost 5 times the number of cards.

I decided to use the next 3 cards using her designs. (Hint, she cut up the 3 envelopes and used the liner to make cards and the white part of the envelope for sentiments.)

I had three cards remaining, I decided to make a bit of a stepped up option with these three so added a mat layer and used my Modern Oval Punch for some of my sentiments.

A look at all the cards spread out on my dining room table. Wow! Happy Mail just waiting to be sent.

I hope you enjoy all the stops on our hop!
