Stamping With Friends Mini Catalog July 2021 Blog Hop

I have chosen to use the new Harvest Meadow Suite, pages 54-56 in the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog.

It was hard to decide which new set or suite to use, but this stamp set, die, designer series paper, and embellishments really caught my attention.

I find having the Designer Series Paper and coordinating colors on a sheet of cardstock inspires me. I next began pulling supplies I wanted to use (and making a huge mess on my desk). 

I stamped the two flower stems with Memento Tuxedo black Ink and the Sentiment with Cajun Craze Ink. I positioned the stamped images so the dies fit without touching. However, I decided to color before cutting. I used Stampin’ Blends Cajun Craze, light and dark, and Soft Succulent, light and dark, and the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker on the large Cone flower stem. The smaller flower is colored with Stampin’ Blends Daffodil Delight and Soft Succulent, this one will go on the inside.

Ready to cut! The Cone flower and one label are cut from the Cajun Craze cardstock, the wheat is cut from Bumblebee cardstock.

Ready to assemble! I covered the flowers and wheat with Wink of Stella for a bit of a sparkle.

My card base is Early Espresso, cut at 4 1/4” X 11”, score and fold at 5 1/2”. My next layer is from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, cut at 4” X 5 1/4”. My focal piece is on the new Cork Specialty Paper, cut at 3 1/2” X 4 3/4” placed at an angle. 

I adhered the Cork Specialty Paper to the Designer Series Paper using Stampin’ Seal. Then I arranged my die cuts on the top, a sort of dry fit before adhering. I put mini dimensionals on the flowers and glued the leaves flat onto the front of the card.

Before I adhered the focal piece to my card base I put a strip of the Diamond Weave Ribbon across the stems, attaching it at the back of the card. I cut the Cajun Craze label in half horizontally and adhered to the top and bottom of the sentiment. I thought this helped it stand out. I put mini dimensionals on the bottom and adhered to the cardstock with the top resting on the ribbon.

Brushed Metal Dots finish the embellishment.

Paper Crafter’s Blog Hop

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. Our theme this month is Designer Series Paper. Stampin’ Up!® has a sale on select Designer Series Papers this month and we thought you might like some ideas and inspiration. 

You’ve just left Sandy Ward’s blog, wasn’t her creation lovely? 

I love designer series paper and have been hoping to use this particular design. It is from the lovely Expressions in Ink DSP. Although this is not part of the Stampin' Up!® sale, this paper is amazing. The gold accents make this a paper to have and use! 

Here is a sampling of the papers:

My card is half of a sheet of cardstock, I used Evening Evergreen Cardstock for the first card; the second card is Polished Pink. I assembled my supplies - Gold Foil Sheets, the designer series paper, the leaf die from the Expressions in Ink Suite, the new 2021 - 2022 In Colors, the small die from Simply Succulent Dies, and Rhinestone gems.

Notice that I cut the leaves from the gold foil layer. This is a great way to use gold foil sheets with minimal waste. Here are the measurements:  

I adhered the Gold Foil and Designer Series Paper being careful where I put the glue so none would be in the cut out area. I rather enjoyed seeing the back side.

This may show up in another project one day!

To finish putting my card together I put coordinating ribbon across the bottom, stamped my sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen ink. I used the die from Simply Succulents and cut a second one from Evening Evergreen scraps which I trimmed so a sliver would show on each side of the sentiment. I'm always happy that our Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue allows a bit of wiggle time so I could line them up. Both the Gold Foil and DSP layer and the sentiment are adhered using dimensionals.

The inside is a piece of Basic White card stock with a strip of Designer Series Paper on the bottom. The The envelope is decorated with a strip of DSP on the front and the back cover.

A matching bow and Rhinestone gems finished the card. I hope you have enjoyed my card.

Kylie Bertucci Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - July 2021

In our busy world it is sometimes difficult to remember to send thank you cards! By preparing cards early in the month we’ve got them on had to send to customers. It feels great to be prepared!

Demonstrators were invited to join three Stampin' Up!® DDMs (Demonstrator Development Managers), Shannon West, Donna Griffith and Natalie White for a fun evening of crafting. The class was Pick Six Wonder and we had fun!!!! I should say FUN in all capital letters because they were delightful.

The class had us using six sheets of 6" x 6" DSP (Designer Series Paper). I chose to use a mixture of the DSP pack from 2021-23 In Colors and three sheets of the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP which is a 12" X 12" paper. I cut a section down to 6" x 6".

I apologize for not having pictures, but my workspace was so messy I didn't take any pictures until the end. We had 14 card bases in coordinating colors, I included a few white card bases. We scored and cut the card bases, realizing that we'd be using scraps we all needed 1 more card base.  I chose Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Polished Pink, and Soft Succulent. For the sentiment I chose Basic White cardstock, Evening Evergreen ink and the Everyday Label Punch. As I was finishing up I decided to add a bit of bling, you'll see the 2021-2021 In Color Jewels in the pictures below.
