Paper Crafting Blog Hop June 2022 - Sympathy Cards

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. Our theme this month is Sympathy Cards. I don't know about you, but I try to be prepared so I keep a few sympathy cards on hand because when I need one I'm usually in no mood to create. I hope you find inspiration hopping with us!

You’ve just left Terri Stewart’s blog, I always love her cards, don’t you?

My card begins with the Design A Dream Hostess pack of designer series paper. I love this sheet with the light and dark Blackberry Bliss flowers.

Measurements:

I like to begin by assembling my supplies:

I cut the Design A Dream 12" x 12" Host Designer Series Paper into card front size, then cut this into two pieces unequal in size (one is maybe 1/3 the size of the beginning piece). I turned the smaller section over to expose the other side. I mounted them onto a piece of black cardstock using the Metallic Mesh Ribbon to camouflage the join spot of my two pieces of DSP.

I stamped the flowers from Quiet Meadow onto Petal Pink cardstock using Petal Pink Ink. I colored the flowers using Light and Dark Blackberry Bliss on the flowers and Dark Parakeet Party on the leaves. Wink of Stella makes the flowers sparkle (and I do love sparkle!) I used black cardstock to mat this layer and adhered it to the front with dimensionals. I threaded a second piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon under the first piece and tied a knot.

My sentiment is taken from Quiet Meadow, stamped with Memento Black Ink onto Petal Pink cardstock then cut with a layering circle die. I cut another scalloped circle from this set out of black cardstock for a mat.

The card is finished with three Rhinestone Gems in the upper right corner.

The envelope is decorated with DSP and the inside of the card is stamped with a sentiment from Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and has the flowers stamped in second generation Petal Pink Ink.

The next stop on our blog hop is Tracy Held! If you get lost on the way we’ve each posted a full list of the hops.
