I have been working with the Ringed With Nature Bundle (stamps and dies) and the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. I am fascinated with these hybrid embossing folders; the folder is used to emboss the cardstock and the die fits into it so you cut the elements at the same time. I decided to make a housewarming card. I like to have a few cards like this on hand but if I was making this one for a specific family I would stamp the house in the color of their new home. For now, I thought Mango Melody would be lovely.
I began by embossing the Basic White layer with the Tree Rings embossing folder (without the die inside.) I adhered this to a layer of Early Espresso Cardstock.
I added the die into the embossing folder and cut tree rings out of Early Espresso Cardstock.
Next, I cut the 5 branches out of a piece of Textured Chic 12"x12" Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Next came the stamping - I stamped the house using Mango Melody and the roof using Early Espresso Ink; the sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso Ink. I cut them with dies - for the sentiment I used one of the stand alone dies in the set, doesn't it fit perfectly in the large tree ring? The house is die cut using the Stylish Shapes die.
I also stamped the inside using the tree ring stamp with Early Espresso ink and the envelope. I laid it out on the front of the card, and decided to use dimensionals on two of the tree rings.
The branches are attached to the undersides of the tree rings with glue dots (using dimensionals makes it easy to wiggle them in place.) I added a twine bow and embellished with the Champagne Rhinestone Jewels.

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. For this hop it is Blogger's Choice. Our hope is to inspire you!
Do you have stamp sets or dies just waiting for you to use them? I do, I keep my uninked stamps and dies in a clear drawer; my goal is to make sure that I've used each one before they are discontinued. That is where my Aspen Tree Dies have been hiding, just waiting for me to get them out and use them.
For my blogger's choice card I decided to bring the Aspen Tree Dies out of the drawer and onto my stamp table. I used the large die to create my focal image - doesn't it look like a stand of white birch trees? It is probably not easily seen, but the Snowy White Velvet Sheets I used are so soft! I cut a piece of Basic White the size of my Velvet sheet (4" x 5 1/4") and used the blending brush to layer on Balmy Blue ink. I love the blue behind the trees.
I stamped the sentiment from Charming Sentiments stamp set onto Basic White with Night of Navy ink and cut it with the corresponding die from Sentiment Silhouette Dies. I also die cut the leaves from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper; what is cool is the die also embosses the leaves.
This card came together very quickly once all the stamping and die cutting was completed. I did use tear and tape on the large leaf so it would stick to the Snowy White Velvet layer. Using dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the large leaf. The inside is stamped with Night of Navy ink and has two of the smaller leaves adhered with multipurpose glue. Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels give the card a pretty sparkle.
