Fitting Florets Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for the Fitting Florets Blog Hop put on by members of Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training. We are all featuring the brand new Stampin' Up Collection - Fitting Florets. This set is available November 2022 - January 4, 2023 and is BEAUTIFUL!

There are dies that coordinate with the stamps and oval dies! The oval dies have me pretty excited. Add in the Fitting Florets 12 X 12 Designer Series Paper and new Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls and this is a winning combination! Although there are many sentiments in the Framed Florets Stamp Set and the Framed & Festive Stamp Set, I chose to use a sentiment that I love from the Charmed Sentiments Stamp Set.

I like to start by gathering all my supplies - I find it inspires me.

The cardbase is Evening Evergreen, 5 1/2 x 8 1/4", scored and folded at 4 1/4" (21 x 29.7 cm)

The second layer is Brushed Gold from the Brushed Metallics Foil Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" (10.3 x 14.4 cm.) I cut the oval die out of the middle of this piece. There will be an oval from the middle of the frame which I used to cut the gold leaves.

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) is 4 x 5 1/4" (10 x 14.4 cm.) The designer series paper reminds me of wallpaper, so I cut this with the top longer than the bottom - precise measurements aren't that important, cut where the ratio is pleasing to your eye. To join the seam I glued the pieces onto the gold layer and ran a piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon over the seam.

I cut another oval frame out of basic white and used the inside oval for my sentiment, which I stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink.

I used one of the dies to cut out a flower cluster from another piece of DSP and fussy cut a larger cluster. These are adhered to the edge of the framed focal piece. I also attached two of the leaves I cut.

The inside is a piece of Basic white cut at 4 x 5 1/4" (10 x 14.4 cm) with a piece of dsp on the bottom, then stamped flowers and leaves in the upper corner using Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen inks.

You will find many designs to inspire you because this training group is full of talented Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world.
