Love of Leaves Sympathy Card

Sometimes necessity spurs cretaivity; other times inspiration is needed. I have a dear friend who passed from a rare genetic disease recently and want to send a card to her husband, hopefully to encourage him as he moves forward. As you know, I lost my husband to cancer in June so this wasn’t the easiest card for me to create. I turned to a post by Kelly Acheson, A Stamp Above, for inspiration. I’ve CASEd a Mystery Stamping Card.

I used the Stamp Set, Love of Leaves and one of the dies from Stitched Leaves Dies. Please click the link below to see the supplies used to create this card.

I am really enjoying using the new In Colors. This card features Just Jade, Bumblebee, and Cinnamon Cider. In the USA the card base is an A2, 1/2 of an 8.5” X 11” cardstock, scored in half and folded. I normally score at 4.25” then cut at 5.5”, thus creating two card bases.

Whisper White Cardstock is cut at 4” X 5.25” and leaves from Love of Leaves are stamped in second generation (or stamped off once as I wanted a lighter inking) using Just Jade, Bumblebee, and Cinnamon Cider. A piece of velum is over the top.

For a list of supplies needed, please click this link:
Love of Leaves Sympathy Card: A sympathy card in Just Jade, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider.

I hope you try this card. If you do, please send me a picture of your card and I will enter you in a drawing, deadline is September 10.

Do you need supplies or a catalog, live in the USA, and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator please let me know.  I'd love to help you.

Good morning friends!

Thank you for being patient with my absence from this blog. It has been a sad time in my life, my husband passed away in late June and I’ve been taking some much needed time to deal with everything.

While I had some down time, Stampin’ Up has been moving forward. I think you will love the new, online store. This is built on a different platform. What will this mean for you?  Your name and password will work for your accuont but your browser will recognize this as a totally new site so you will need to either remember your password or click on “forgot password” and create a new one.

Links in this blog will take you to my store, but not the products. Please double check that you are truly shopping with me, just to make sure it’s working as it should. I will work to create new links going forward that take you directly to the new store.

Please let me know what you think of the new store!

Nancy :-)

Card Sketch Challenge and FB Live Video

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I hope you are all healthy, safe, and happily crafting.

It amazes me how many different cards we can make from a sketch. The card for my Facebook Live last Friday fits this sketch, I'm hoping you will create a card using this sketch, please email me a picture; I love to see what you create!

Here is the card I made (the card recipe is at the end of this post.

Forever Greenery Thank You Card

Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog! I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. At the end of this month the top 10 cards will be in a Blog Hop with Kylie Bertucci...so exciting! I hope you like my card and vote for me, I will put in the link when it goes live.

This suite, Forever Greenery, is fast becoming my favorite in the new catalog. The Designer Series Paper is lovely and does much of the work for me.

Here are the supplies that go into this card:
I did add a scrap of black cardstock, cut the Thanks Friends sentiment, then adhered the gold on top, slightly offset so the words would “pop” a bit more.

Here is a picture with everything (except the black, that was a last minute decision):
Using multi-purpose glue, I adhered the DSP (designer series paper) to the card base, adhered the gold ring into the middle using glue dots. I think this picture might show how I rolled and hid the glue dots.

I dry fit my “bits and pieces” to build my focal piece, then adhered with glue dots. I used multi-purpose glue to stack my words and glued them into place.

Next I decorated the inside of my card and the envelope.

Forever Greenery Thank You Card: click this link for the card recipe.

Give this one a try, it’s fun to create and looks harder than it is! Which is always good! Impressive with less work, who could ask for more. If you need supplies, live in the USA, and do not have a demonstrator - please click the link above to shop with me.

Also, please let me know if you need a catalog, aka: wish book!

Thank you again for stopping by to visit.

Good Morning Magnolia

Hello! How nice of you to stop by my blog today for a visit. I hope you are staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. If you need supplies for your creations and live in the United States my shop button above will take you to my Stampin’ Up® shop.

Here is what I’ve been up to lately! An elegant thank you card using Good Morning Magnolia, Daffodil Delight Blends and an embossed sentiment.

A few weeks ago I had so much fun playing along with a mystery stamping video by Donna Gray, Stampin’ Up® Demonstrator in Australia. The first clue was to prep a card base and layers, with Whisper White to stamp on; also to have a stamp set with a large flower, Tuxedo Black Ink and Stampin’ Blends.

I chose the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and had a blast creating this card, one step at a time as each clue was revealed. My card is quite different than Donna’s card. I took large flower stamp quite literally, LOL!

Here is the photo of my cardstock supplies and dimensions in Imperial A2 size and Metric A4 size:

I made this on my Facebook Page - Stampin’ With Nutsy - in a Facebook live on May 22, 2020. Today I did a first for me - I uploaded the video to YouTube and put it in the blog below.

For the full Card Recipe click here: Good Morning Magnolia:

You can watch the video on my YouTube Channel:

Thank you again for stopping by - you will notice in the video I show the new catalog cover, all we are allowed to show until June 3, 2020 when it goes ‘live’ and we can start placing orders. I will post a host code on June 3 for the month.

Do you live in the USA? Don’t have a demonstrator?  Click the ‘Contact Me’ button above to request a catalog.

My next Facebook live will be June 5, 2020 at 1:30 pm Pacific Daylight Time. I’ll be showing some new products and making a card featuring one of the new sets. I’d love for you to join me.

Happy Stamping!
Nancy aka Nutsy
